Are Rockhurst University’s online programs accredited?

Rockhurst University and Saint Luke’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Nursing programs and courses are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education*.

Saint Luke’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences is approved by the State of Missouri to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). As a participating institution, Saint Luke’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences may offer online programs to students in other SARA member states without seeking authorization in that state. 

The School of Education is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. Business courses are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

What are the admission requirements to apply for the Online MSN degree programs?

The admission requirements for the MSN-FNP, MSN-AGACNP, MSN-Leadership, and MSN Dual Track programs are as follows:

  • BSN from CHEA recognized school and nursing accreditation from CCNE or ACEN
  • Official transcripts from all universities or colleges attended
  • Minimum BSN GPA: 3.0
  • Active unencumbered registered nurse license
  • 2 LORs (professional or academic)
  • Graduate Statistics
  • Personal Statement (400-800 words)

Program Details

What are the MSN Immersions?

MSN-FNP, PMHNP and AGACNP students will complete two immersion experiences, one virtual and one on-campus. The on-campus immersions are multi-day experiences based on the program for students to receive clinical instruction and to further hone their skills.

How long will it take for me to complete the online MSN-Leadership program?

This program can be completed on a full-time basis in 4 semesters or part-time in 6 semesters.

How many start dates does the online MSN-Leadership program have per year?

There are 2 intakes per year: fall and spring.

How many credit hours are required for the online MSN-Leadership program?

This online degree requires 36 credit hours of online coursework and 200 practicum hours to graduate.

Are the MSN-Leadership classes 100% online?

Yes. The didactic coursework is delivered 100% online, and practicum hours are also required.

Can I apply for the online MSN-Leadership if I live outside of Missouri?
